What you will leave with
Experience and concrete findings
Take away a chosen topic, insights from initial interviews and a decision on what is worth testing next. Distinguish what you have learned about people’s needs from what remains an assumption.
Ideas for collaboration
With your guides, examine how you chose a shared topic and worked with different perspectives. Choose what to use from this experience in your next piece of shared work.
How the programme works
The Workshop includes the four-hour Spark and continues with initial fieldwork. It forms the first day of the Camp; prototype design and testing come on later days.
-
Choose your own topic
Start with your interests and abilities. As a team, choose a problem and prepare questions for the people affected.
-
Go out and meet people
In initial interviews, find out whether others actually experience the problem. Compare their experience with your assumptions.
-
Process your initial findings
Separate findings from assumptions. Examine collaboration with your guides and choose the next step.
